Description
The painting was influenced by Zaramo traditional dance called Mdundiko from Tanzanian.
Being a native of East Africa, Mdundiko was an experience I encountered during specific times of the year. I stood by the gate and watched the dancers pass by my house with their drums and dance that rose the brown sand in the air and the glimmering light of the evening sun peeping through.
